Soo J. Hong’s fiction appears in Narrative, where she is an assistant fiction editor, Chicago Quarterly Review, Raleigh Review, and elsewhere. Recent stories have been finalists for the Iowa Review Award, the StoryQuarterly Fiction prize, long listed for Ploughshares Emerging Writers’ contest, and earned an honorable mention for the CRAFT Short Fiction Prize.

Her writing has received support from PEN America Emerging Voices, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference as a Staff Scholar, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She is an alumna of McCormack Writing Center’s (formerly Tin House) Oregon Summer Workshop and the Community of Writers.

She is currently at work on her first novel.

Soo is also a long serving executive and advisor to some of the world’s most prominent organizations including WeWork, Tinder, and Booz Allen. Currently, she oversees HR for Chainalysis. Additionally, she spent a decade placing global C-suite leaders at Spencer Stuart.
