Soo J. Hong’s fiction appears in Narrative, where she is an assistant fiction editor, Chicago Quarterly Review, Raleigh Review, and elsewhere. Recent stories have been finalists for the Iowa Review Award and the StoryQuarterly Fiction prize, long listed for Ploughshares Emerging Writers’ contest, and earned an honorable mention for the CRAFT Short Fiction Prize.

Soo’s writing has received support from PEN America Emerging Voices, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She is an alum of McCormack Writing Center’s (formerly Tin House) Oregon Summer Workshop and the Community of Writers.

She is currently at work on her first novel.

Additionally, she has served as a leader for some of the world’s most prominent organizations including Chainalysis, WeWork, Tinder, and Booz Allen. She spent a decade placing global C-suite leaders as a consultant at Spencer Stuart.
